Compress PDF to 10 MB

Chat platforms and cloud services cap attachments around 10 MB, so MillFile rebuilds your PDF to fit under 10 MB in this browser tab. Free and unlimited, no account, no watermark - and the file is never uploaded, large scans and photo-heavy decks included.

Why 10 MB keeps coming up

Free Discord accounts now accept 20 MiB per file, Slack's limit depends on the workspace, and Telegram, Signal and iMessage all sit far higher. Ten megabytes is the point where a chat app stops compressing your upload and hands the recipient the original bytes - which is usually what you want for a document somebody needs to read, not a preview.

MillFile spends a 10 MB budget in the order that preserves the most: a lossless rebuild runs first, and only the pages that would still break the total are re-rendered, largest first. At this size most documents finish before any page becomes an image. It all runs on your device, so a portfolio or a report never touches a server to be made smaller.

Free and unlimited. No account, no watermark, no daily cap — and the file is processed on your device, never on a server.

Questions about compressing to 10 MB

How do I compress a PDF to 10 MB?

Pick the 10 MB target, drop the file, and download it when the badge turns green. Long documents page through and report progress as they go.

What if my limit is 20 MB instead?

Use the 20 MB target. A larger allowance means fewer pages get re-rendered, so it is always the better choice when the destination will accept it.

Does the original get modified?

No. The original file on your disk is untouched; the compressed version is a separate download.

Will text and links survive?

Most of the time, yes. Text that stays as real text remains selectable and keeps its links. A page that has to become an image loses its links and form fields - at 10 MB that is uncommon, but it is possible on a photo-heavy deck.

Is there a cap on my end?

No limit and no queue. The compression runs on your own processor, so a large file only takes a little longer.

Does anything get uploaded?

No. There is no backend to send anything to - reading, compressing and saving all happen in this tab.
